New Car Trends Of 2020

The new decade is around the corner, and car manufacturers have new cars with exciting features. Manufacturers have also been paying attention to trends and the demands from the people. For example, drivers have been asking for cars with all-wheel drive.

Chevrolet Corvette

A 2020 MotorTrend car of the year, the Chevrolet Corvette earned its award for being a mid-engine masterpiece. This luxury vehicle is coveted for its precision steering feature that allows for both speed and maneuverability. The car also comes in coupe and convertible forms. It has an aerodynamic design that allows it to reach top speeds.

The  LT2 V8 engine is new with and visible from the rear hatch window. This car is one of the fastest on the list with 495 horsepower. Furthermore, the convertible version features a retractable hardtop.

Toyota Camry

The new 2020 Camry can take on all kinds of weather with its all-wheel drive feature. The front wheels have a sensor in case of slippage in the snow or rain. Furthermore, this feature can send up to 50 percent of the torque to the rear wheels. This allows the wheels to have more grip in gravel, rain or snow.

Surpassing car trends, the interior has heated seats and heated steering wheel. The sideview mirrors also have heating to melt away the cast of ice during snowy days. This is the first all-wheel drive Camry since 1991 Toyota and it is meeting market demand because of this feature. 

The mid-size sedan also comes with better fuel efficiency, accomplished through its 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine. There is also plenty of cabin and cargo space in this Camry model. 

Subaru Outback

Subaru is following recent car trends as well, implementing symmetrical all-wheel drive to their new SUV. All-wheel drive gives this car the power to go through any terrain. Although weather efficient, it is slightly slower than the 2020 Camry. This car is faster than previous Subaru Outback models with 182 horsepower. But the 2020 Camry comes with 202 horsepower. If you are more interested in space than power, this Subaru could be the car for you.

The Outback also comes with Lineartronic CVT. CVT stands for Continuously Variable Transmission and this CVT is built specifically for the Subaru engine. It is meant to instantly adjust to the applied acceleration. This transmission comes with a six-speed Manual mode as well as paddle shifters for control at your fingertips.

Jeep Gladiator

As for 2020 cars and trucks trends, many car enthusiasts have been anticipating the release of this truck. Like most Jeeps, the Gladiator has four-by-four capability and comes with high-towing capacity. It can tow up to 7,650 pounds and can carry loads of up to 1,700 pounds.

If you want to use this midsize pickup truck to go off the road, the Gladiator does this and more. This truck has earned a Trail Rated badge not only for off-road traction, but for water fording as well. The car has special water sealing to prevent flooding and the precision steering allows for maneuverability in tight areas.

Th truck has a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine and has the second highest horsepower on this list. The engine allows the Gladiator to go for 285 horsepower and it has a torque 260 pound-feet. This torque capacity is ideal for hauling or towing cargo and driving through trails. 

Kia Telluride

According to Kelly Blue Book, this luxurious SUV built specifically for the U.S. is one of the 2020 SUVs worth waiting for. This is a three-row SUV with 3.8 V6 engine that provides 291 horsepower. The torque goes up to 262 pound-feet and can send the power to its front wheels or to all wheels. This torque power is sent through an eight-speed transmission, which allows for better driving control.

If you decide to add all wheel drive to your Kia Telluride, note that this  feature has electro hydraulic coupling. This allows the driver to have more control over the car in slippery conditions. 

There are also four driving modes – Eco and Comfort, Smart, Sport and Snow mode. In Eco and Comfort, up to 35 percent of the engine power will go to the rear wheels. During all the other modes, 50 percent of the power is sent the wheels.
